A new heritage bus service is launched in Budapest, connecting the city's most iconic attractions. The N4 will serve the route spanning from Városliget to Zugliget Chairlift on its approximately 45-minute journey, touching on many of the city's landmarks. On Saturday and Sunday, passengers can board two nostalgia Ikarus buses, one of which is planned to be the Ikarus 556, to be introduced to passenger traffic this year.

BKV and BKK are inaugurating a new, regular heritage bus service with the marking N4. The service will run between Városliget and Zugliget Chairlift every Saturday and Sunday afternoon until 24 August. On both days, two heritage Ikarus buses will depart - between approximately 1.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. - from both terminuses every hour. According to the plans, one of the vehicles will be the Ikarus 556, to be set in passenger traffic this year, while the other vehicle will be one of the Ikarus 260s or 415s from the BKV heritage fleet; enabling vehicle enthusiasts to encounter several legendary types.

The N4 stops: Városliget (Erzsébet királyné útja, underpass) - Széchenyi Bath – Zoo (Állatkert) - Heroes' Square - Oktogon - Deák Ferenc tér - Chain Bridge (Pest and Buda bridgehead) - Batthyány tér (only towards Zugliget) - Széll Kálmán tér - Városmajor - Zugliget, Chairlift

The route of the N4 is carefully planned to border on as many tourist attractions as possible. Departing from the City Park (Városliget), it stops at the Széchenyi Bath, the Zoo (Állatkert) and Heroes' Square, then along Andrássy út at Oktogon and Deák Ferenc tér, where the Millennium Underground Museum is also located. The N4 crosses the Danube, which offers a wonderful panorama, passing over the Chain Bridge, and at the stops designated at the two bridgeheads, passengers can transfer to the regularly operating heritage trams N2 and N19, and at Clark Ádám tér to the Buda Castle Funicular. The line of the bus proceeds towards the chairlift by touching Batthyány tér on the Bem quay, reaching Széll Kálmán tér, where you can change for the N109 convertible heritage bus, and then stops at Városmajor, where you can switch to the cogwheel railway. In the direction to Pest, the new heritage line runs via Attila út and the Buda Castle Tunnel.

You can travel on the N4 heritage buses with a BKK heritage line ticket or heritage day ticket. This special service provides an unforgettable experience not only for tourists but also for Budapest residents, taking them back in time as they explore the beauties of Budapest.
