Budapest residents and tourists can meet a special vehicle in the heart of the capital city, which brings a smile to many faces by bringing the joy of play to places where city dwellers would not expect it. Although one cannot travel by the life-size, colourful tram built from LEGO® bricks, its cheerful appearance renders an extraordinary sight. The construction, which is considered unique in the world – actually looking like a gigantic toy tram – can be admired on Deák Ferenc Square during the Advent period.

The mission of the LEGO Tram, built from bricks, is to inspire both the builders of the future and children and adults interested in transportation. The life-size tram was designed by master builder Balázs Dóczy and built in cooperation of 90 people. The tram with a length of 11.5 metres, a height of 2 metres and a width of 2 metres, built in a construction duration of 6800 man-hours, from nearly 1.8 million bricks, is pulled onto the track by "Muki", BKV’s freight tram.
