Hungary’s only Ikarus 60T trolleybus can be seen for the first time at BKV’s open day
BKV welcomes young and old interested in public transport with a free all-day family programme on 28 September, an open day hosted by the Trolleybus Division. The workshop will open its doors, there will be a test drive, and visitors can also try out how to change a wheel, install pantographs or build a circuit. The new vehicle of BKV's heritage fleet, the Ikarus 60T, will be presented at the open day.
A playbus with double articulation attracts the little ones, while a training field for practicing the rules of the road by bicycle and a drawing competition await older children.
Prior registration is required for the test drive and the simulator test drive; the registration links will be available on BKV’s website. In addition, a limited number of people wishing to attend can apply for the latter programmes on site.
