The BKV Christmas fleet started running its festive rounds on 2 December with seven decorated and illuminated vehicles. Six trams rolled out of the Hungária depot successively, and the Christmas cogwheel railway began its inaugural journey from the Városmajor station. This year, BKV's debut Christmas boat service also set off for the first time. The vehicles of the Christmas fleet will run until 6 January 2025.

The vehicles have been decorated by almost one hundred people in the depots in recent weeks. In total, more than 5 kilometres of light strings have been installed on the trams, which are illuminated by approximately 120,000 energy-saving and environmentally friendly LEDs.

BKV's Santa Bus will run from 6 December until 23 December on bus lines 105, 210, 130, 11, 99 and 198.
