
A special vehicle with double articulation at the open day of the 75-year-old bus garage in Kelenföld
On 11 May, the Day of Transport Culture, the BKV open day series continues. It is the tenth occasion that the events of the Day of Transport Culture highlight the importance of increasing transport safety and the culture of environmentally aware public transportation across the country.
On this occasion, the 75-year-old bus garage in Kelenföld opens its doors to transport lovers.
Special vehicles, guided hall tours and a training field for practicing the rules of the road await people of all ages at the all-day, free event. Visitors can listen to a round table discussion on traffic safety jointly organized by the Hungarian Transport Federation and BKV. You can also follow the conversation live on BKV's Facebook page, from 10:30 a.m.
A Playbus with double articulation attracts the little ones and the curiosity bus, Ikarus 293 with double articulation will also be on show.
Collectors will have the opportunity to buy BKV relics, souvenirs as well as destination signs.
Prior registration is required for the guided tours in the assembly hall, for the simulator presentation and for the test drive of a training bus; the registration links will be available on BKV’s website from Thursday, 9 May.
